How Do I Register a New Team?

Modified on Fri, 01 Nov 2019 at 01:57 PM

For this article, we will assume that you have gone to your organization's registration page on their website or have chosen a direct link to a program that you are planning to register for. Provided that you have chosen the program that you'd like to register for, click the button that says "Register," where you will see all payments that are available for this program.

1. You will begin on the program's registration page that will list all available payment options to register. Be sure to choose a product that says, "Team Only," on the top, because the program may have free agent options for individual to join a draft roster and be placed onto in-house teams or onto teams needing players.

2. Once you have chosen the team product, you will be asked to create an account, continue as a guest or login. (NOTE: For information about what the point of creating an account or continuing as a guest is, click here.)

3. Fill in all required personal information and continue.

4. You must then agree to the waiver, if your organization requires you to sign one electronically. If you have signed in with an existing account and your waiver is still active, you will not be required to sign off on the waiver again and will proceed directly to step 5.

5. You will enter your Team Name into the search bar. If you are registering with the same team name that you have used in the past, you may select the team name from the dropdown. This will NOT import your past roster but will link your current team to your past team(s) for archives and career schedules/standings for the team's history. Once you have entered your team name, select "Use This Team."

6. You will be asked if you are a player or a coach, and if you are a captain of the team. Select your options from the appropriate dropdowns. You will also be able to add any additional notes if you have special requests, comments or anything else that you'd like program administrators to know of at the time of your registration.

7. At the bottom of the page, you will be able to invite players to join your team roster. By clicking the "Add Player," button, you will be able to send out automated invites via email by inputting player name and email address. If you are planning to have players make individual payments towards the team invoice, you may also input a recommended payment amount, which the player will also receive via email and will prompted to pay during checkout.

They will not be required to pay this amount in order to sign up. It is simply what their payment amount will default to. If you tell them to pay for a different amount, they can customize how much they pay, or they can bypass payment all together, if they'd like to pay at a different time or with cash/check at the facility.

8. Once you have added all of the players that you'd like to invite at that time, click "Add to Cart," and your team invoice will be added to your shopping cart. To proceed, just click "Proceed to Checkout," and a new, secure window will appear.

9. On the checkout window, your payment amount will default to your minimum deposit required. You may pay anything between the minimum payment amount and the invoice total. Enter your credit card information and applicable billing information and be sure to agree to the organization's refund policy before clicking "Process Payment."

10. If you would like to register for another team after submitting your registration, close out of your transaction window and return to your shopping cart. If your team invoice is still in your shopping cart, click the "Cancel Transaction," button which will clear your shopping cart and enable you to register a new team.

NOTE: If the minimum payment is $0.00 you may proceed by just agreeing to the refund policy and clicking "Process," in the bottom, right hand corner of the window.

NOTE: You may only register 1 team at a time, per invoice. This is in order to prevent players from ending up on invoices that include teams they are not playing for and to prevent them from making payments towards incorrect teams.
