Adding New Schedule Items to an Event

Modified on Thu, 28 Mar 2019 at 01:56 PM

There are two ways to add new event occurrences to an existing event. One option is to do so from the Events page within the Facility Management dropdown and the other is directly from the Timeline Schedule from the Schedules dropdown. We've outlined both options below:

Adding Events One Item at a Time from the Daily or Timeline Calendar

From the "Schedules," dropdown, go to the Timeline calendar. From here, you can click whichever spot on the calendar that you'd like, using the drag-and-drop calendar. Make sure that the "Schedule Item Type," is set to Event. From there, you can adjust time & location as needed. On the right side, you can type the name of the existing event into the text box for "Event Name," which will bring down a dropdown of all fitting event names. Choose your existing event from the list and then save the event once you're done.

You can also do the exact same thing from the Daily List view calendar, also available from the Schedules dropdown. In that case, just click "New Schedule Item," from the top of the page, which will provide the same window to add a new schedule item. Follow the same protocol as above to add the occurrence to the event as a whole.

Adding Events in Bulk from the Events Page

Click on the "Facility Management," menu dropdown, and choose "Events," from the list of options in the dropdown. From there, search for your specific event by name or date range. Just click the "Options," button and click to edit the event. On this page, you can edit event details, contacts, file attachments, etc. You can also choose "Schedule," from the left hand side, which will give you a list of all items scheduled within this event and will enable you to use the recurring scheduler to add more items on in bulk.

Just choose the start & end date, location, how often it should repeat (which days of the week to repeat the event if that option is selected) and start/end time. Click the blue button to add them to the schedule and you'll be all set. If there are any conflicts you'll be notified and required to fix those prior to saving!
