Product Types- Event Ticket Products

If you want to sell tickets for events, this is the product that should be created.  In addition to the product, all you need to do associate an existing event in the system.   Once this product is sold, Tickets will be generated and presented to the customer through the POS system or the online sales process.  The customer then only needs to present the ticket on the day of the event to be scanned for authenticity.  Each sold ticket will contain a unique barcode and you will be notified immediately if any ticket is attempted to be scanned twice.  This is all explained below.

Step 1

Create your product following the previous product guide.  Make sure you choose “Event Ticket” as the product type.


Step 2

Go to the Associations tab.   Click on “Add Event for Product”.


Step 3

You will be presented with a list of all active events in your system.  If you wish, you can search for a specific event using the search box.  Once you find your event, set the start and end dates.  The start and end dates define when the product is available for sale through the system.  When complete, click “Add Event to Product”.  When you are finished adding your associations, click “Close”.


 Step 4

Click on Save.  Your new product is now available for sale under the POS and online system.  When tickets are sold, you will see a button for the event tickets.  Click on this button and print the tickets for your customers.
