How to Use Discount Codes

Step 1

From the Main Menu, select the POS dropdown and choose "Discounts," from the menu.

Step 2

On this page, you will see all active discounts. You can also toggle to view discounts that have been deactivated.

Step 3

Click "Add New Discount," where you'll be brought to a new page to select your discount settings.

On this page, you will have the following options:

• Name: This is just the descriptive name of the discount so you can search for it whenever you need to edit or disable it in the future.
• Promo Code: This will be the code that is entered at checkout
• Start Date & End Date: This is the valid date range that the discount code will be available for use. You must set a start date but the end date is optional.
• Available Online & POS:You can toggle whether the discount is available only online, only inside of the POS register, or both.
  • NOTE: The initial update for discount codes only support in-person POS discounts. Online will be available shortly.
• Discount: You have the option to offer your discount as a flat dollar amount or a percentage off of either the invoice total or each individual product in the register. You will have the ability to customize which products the discount can be used on shortly!

Step 4

Press Save. You're all set.

Below, we will walk through how to use a discount code inside of the POS Register.

Demonstration of use on the POS system

In the POS screen, see a "Discounts," button at the top of the register. When you click on that button, you will see all active Discount Codes that have been created in your account. Simply click on the discount that you'd like to apply to the checkout and you're all set. You will see the discount applied to any applicable products in the shopping cart.

To remove a discount from the cart, just click the "X" next to the discount that you'd like to remove under "Applied Discounts."

The rest of your checkout process will be just like normal!
