Register Configuration

Before you can begin accepting sales at your site, you must set up your cash registers.  For security purposes, cash registers must be setup from the actual machine that will be used.  Our POS software is intended to be used with a barcode scanner, touchscreen monitor, receipt printer and cash drawer.  The guide below will explain how to authorize a machine to act as a cash register.

Step 1

Login to your mysportsort account using the network that is intended to be a point of sale terminal.

Step 2

Navigate to POS -> Register Configuration from the top menu

Step 3

Click on Add this machine as a POS Register at the top left of your screen



Step 4

You are presented with the following window.  Please fill in all pertinent information.  An explanation of the fields is provided below:

Computer Name: This is the name of your computer as seen across the internet. For security reasons, this can not be changed and is how we identify an authorized register.
Register Alias: If you would like to see a different name for this register in all your reports and screens, specify it here.  This is your change to give it a meaningful name I.E. Front Cash Drawer 1

POS Printer Attached: if you have a POS Receipt printer, select Yes.

Print Receipt Default: Select if you want to default for every transaction to print a receipt or if you'd rather have the default not print a receipt unless prompted

Print Printer Type:Select which of our two supported receipt printers that you are using: Epson or Star

POS Cash Drawer Attached: If you are using a cash drawer that is operated by the receipt printer with this register, please select yes.

Credit Card Terminal: NOTE - This only applies if you are using a BOLT credit card terminal. If you are using BOLT terminals, a list of all associated devices with your Merchant ID will be listed. You can select which terminal you'd like to connect to by default. 

TimeClock Terminal: If you would like timeclock functionality accessible from this register, please select yes. This will add a button to the top bar for clock in and out funtionality.
Cash Drawer Open Code: This is the EPS code used to open the cash drawer. Unless you know what you are doing, please leave the default value that appears.
Receipt Printer Partial Cut Code: This is the EPS code used to provide partial cuts of receipts after printing. Unless you know what you are doing, please leave the default value that appears.
Receipt Printer Full Cut Code:  This is the EPS code used to provide full cuts of receipts after printing.  Unless you know what you are doing, please leave the default value that appears.




Click on Save. Once this is complete, this computer is now ready to act as a Point of Sale Terminal utilizing the mysportsort POS software. Create a shortcut to the following link on you POS machine to open the register: http://www.mysportsort.com/main/sales/
