Entering Scoresheets

Modified on Tue, 25 Oct 2022 at 04:14 PM

Once you have your season scheduled and rosters entered, you can begin entering scoresheets.  If you have a live internet connection at your business or a mobile device such as an ipad with connectivity, it is best to use our scoresheets to keep track of the game as it is played.  Not only will this keep all statistics immediately up to date, but it can reflect real time scores back to your website live!  You customers can even see the current period of the game and goals as they are scored. If it not possible to keep up live, then scores and stats can always be entered into the system anytime after the game manually.

Step 1

Go to schedules -> Daily List View from the main menu.  NOTE: user must have permissions to scoresheets.

Step 2

Go to the Game Options, by right clicking on the current game and then on enter scoresheet.

Step 3

You will be asked to verify the opening of the game.  Once a game is open, it’s status will be changed to be “in progress”  This will also show on your customer facing website if you choose to show today’s scores.

Step 4

Next, you will be prompted to enter in your officials for the game.  You may add as many officials as you like.  Just keep clicking the add official button.  You will be presented with a list of all officials that are authorized to officiate that sport.  When finished, click Save.

Step 5

You will then be asked to select the rosters for both teams.  You will be presented with a list of players from both teams.  Please select the players that are present.  Any players that are missing current insurance waivers will be flagged.  If you do not track insurance waivers, this can be ignored.  In case a player is wearing another jersey other than their own, you may provide an alternative number to help tracking.  Any player checked here will get credit for a game played.  Click save when complete.  You can always go back and make corrections as the game goes on.

Step 6

if your sport has goaltenders, you will be asked to specify the starting goaltender right away.  it is best to do this as we can automatically track a goaltenders statistics for you as the game goes on.  Choices are limited to those that are entered in the team’s roster as a goalie.

Step 7

You are now ready to keep score.  If any altercations take place during the game, you can use the incident reports button to document it.  This can later be reviewed by the front office for any decisions on awarding suspensions.  As the game progresses, make sure you set the current period/quarter/inning.  This is to let your customers know where your game stands in real time.  If at any time you want more screen real estate, you can minimize any section by clicking on the red minus signs.  When the game is over, click the Post the game as completed on the top left.  That’s it.  We will take care of sorting everything else out for you.  Overtime wins and losses, shootouts, etc.  We will handle it.
