Creating Playoff Brackets

You may create as many playoff brackets as you like for each season.  There is no limit.  You may also create your playoff brackets in advance.  The software will automatically seed and schedule games at the completion of your season.  In addition, you have 3 formats to choose from: Single Elimination, Single Elimination with automatic reseeding after each round, and Double Elimination.  The following guide will explain how to create your playoff brackets.

Step 1

From the main menu, click on League and Seasons -> Playoffs

Step 2

You will be brought to a page with a summary of all your current playoff brackets.  To create a new bracket, click on the “Create new playoff bracket” at the top left.

Step 3

Please enter in all information.  The following will explain each field and its choices:

1) Select Your Season: This is the season you wish to create a playoff bracket.

2) Bracket Type: We have three options available: Single Elimination, Single Elimination with reseed, Double Elimination

3) Number Of Teams: Please select how many teams you wish to be in this playoff bracket

4) Playoff Bracket Title: This is the distinct name of your playoff bracket. This is useful if you will have multiple brackets for a season so each bracket can be distinguished from the other.

5) Automatic Emails: Selecting yes will automatically email all those involved with playoff bracket of their upcoming schedule after each round. Once the bracket is seeded and as teams advance, each user in the system on a playoff team with an email will automatically be notified of their upcoming schedule and game times.

Step 4

Before saving your bracket, you will need to specify the playoff seedings within the bracket preview window shown below.  You can set the seedings up by overall, conference, or division standings.  We even have a wildcard option if you choose to seed by conference or divisional standings.  In the example below, the first place team overall in the regular season will get the #1 seed in the bracket.  The second place team will get the #2 seed in the bracket:

Step 5

Click the “Save Bracket” button on the top right of the bracket preview screen.

Step 6

Once the bracket is saved, you may continue on to schedule your playoff games for each round with these instructions.
