Automatically rotating timeslots between multiple seasons

Modified on Thu, 14 Oct 2021 at 12:45 PM

This feature can automatically diversify timeslots between multiple seasons.  In cases of seasons that have limited teams, you may not want to limit them to the same 2 to 3 timeslots each week.  To avoid doing so, this feature allows you to pick multiple seasons and have the timeslots between them automatically rotated every week.  For example, If season A is initially scheduled for every Tuesday at 6 and 7 pm, and Season B is initially scheduled for 10 and 11 pm every tuesday, this feature can automatically rotate these timeslots between the two.  Once complete, Season A would play their games on 6 and 7 PM on odd weeks and 10 and 11 PM on the even weeks.

NOTE: The employee must have permissions for schedules.

Step 1

Click on the "Leagues and Seasons" drop down menu and select "schedules".

Step 2

Click on the “Automated season timeslot rotator” button in the top left.

Step 3

Choose each scheduled season that you want rotated amongst themselves by selecting it from the season dropdown and clicking on “Add Season for Swapping”.   Before you can proceed, each season selected must of already been scheduled with our auto scheduler.   Any seasons you choose here should all be scheduled for the same weeks.  Time slots are rotated on a weekly basis.  The base timeslots between seasons do not need to fall on the same days.

Step 4

Click on the Team Time Preferences tab.  Enter in any special time preferences for teams here if any are needed.  You an give each preference a priority which will be used if there are any conflicts between preferences.  Click on “Verify Timeslot Rotation” when ready.

Step 5

You will be presented with a list of the games from all seasons and their new times.  Please verify this is what you wanted.  We have provided filters at top by season and team to give you an easier time to review all changes that are being made.  Once everything looks good, scroll down to the bottom of the list and click on “Save Completed Schedule”  If you want to make any changes, click on “Back to Timeslot rotation options” instead.

This completes your timeslot rotation.
