Creating a new season/program

Once you have configured your sports arenas and created your leagues, you are ready to create a season.

Step 1

Go to Leagues and Seasons -> Seasons and Tournaments from the main menu.




Step 2

Click the Create new season button at the top left of the screen




Step 3

All required information will be highlighted in red.  Please give your season a descriptive name, choose if its a regular season or tournament, and what sport will be played, from our dropdown list of default sports. To create a custom sport, select the green addition (+) button next to the sport selection. Once you create a new sport, it will be saved for future use.

Just below, set your game-time and season-specific rules as they apply to your scoresheets.




Step 4

Once you select the type of sport, you can move on to the next tab to define your standings system, whether it will be tracked based upon points, games back or win percentages. From there, you'll be able to define how much each game is worth, whether OT/shootouts are enabled, etc.




Step 5

Set your tie breaking rules.  Many times, you will have teams that tie in standings in points.  We take care of figuring out the tie-breakers for you.  Just drag and drop each item in the order of importance to be used.  The very top item will be the first tie breaking rule to be used.




Step 6

Optional but if you would like to set some standard rules for your season, you can do that here.  Once you establish these rules, they can be re-used on any future season without requiring you to retype them.  Simply use our API reference to display them on your site where appropriate.




Step 7

Our seasons support multiple conferences and divisions.  This is especially useful if you want to schedule a season using inter-division play only and then have both divisions meet in the playoffs.  This opens many options for your season.




Step 8

If you wish, you may establish some age restrictions and player/team limits for your season.  This will block any registrations for this season on customers that do not meet the age requirements.  It will also block team or individual registrations if the limit is reached.



Step 9

The "Online Registration Settings," tab will give you some more specialized information. First & foremost, you can copy a season-specific registration link that will allow customers to register directly for this program. You will also see the current set dates for registration to determine whether registration is open or closed, along with affiliated products.

Just below that, you can customize which employees, if any, should receive notification upon new customer registration. You can also limit registration to be made accessible only by private link and prevent this form from showing up with the rest of the programs. You can also limit registrations to only be available to teams or players who have participated in programs of yours in the past.





Step 10

You can customize your registration fields to differ from the default fields set under your Management tab (link here). tab will give you some more specialized information. Determine what optional vs required fields are listed and if you need to add any previously created or new custom fields to the form!




Step 11

Double check to make sure you have selected the correct sport.  Once the season has been saved, this can not be changed.  Click save.  You are now ready to add teams or accept registrations.
