Creating Employee Accounts

Modified on Tue, 09 Nov 2021 at 10:51 AM

You will want to create a login for each employee at your business. You can not share accounts on our system since we take security very seriously. If you attempt to use the same account from two different machines, the user on the first machine will lose their session and be forced to login again. Once they login again, the user on the second machine will be forced to login and the cycle will begin. Please create a separate account for every user. In addition to this, this allows for easy auditing in case of any mistakes are made. You can easily track who completed the last change with our audit logs. All employee accounts require an email.

Step 1

Go to Management->Employees from the top menu

Step 2

Click on the Create New Employee button at the top left as depicted below

Step 3

Fill in your employee’s information. All required fields are highlighted in Red. You will also set the user’s password here. No need to write it down as we can automatically email their login information to them when you are finished.

Step 4

Next, go to the security permissions tab. This is where you can restrict access to certain areas of your business. This is where Superuser permissions can be granted. Only click if this employee is meant to be able to have access to and edit everything. See next article for security permissions further explained.

Step 5 (POS)

If you subscribe to our POS service, you can assign your employee POS permissions here. This will allow you to restrict access to your POS Registers and only certain functions within it. A randomly generated ID is assigned to the user which is paired to a pin. The combination of this ID and PIN is used to authenticate an employee at a register to complete a sale. Our systems are built around speed so we provided you a button to print this employees badge. This badge contains the employee-id with a scannable barcode. When a login is requested at the register, the employee simply scans their badge and verifies it with their pin number. An operation that takes less then a second with a touchscreen monitor.

Step 6

Click the save button

Step 7 (Optional)

Click on the photo tab after you saved the employee.  You can now upload a photo of the employee. This photo will show up on the employee’s badge.
